All Community Healthplex members have the opportunity to receive three (3) complimentary sessions with one of our fitness staff. You do not have to participate in all the free sessions; however, to receive the most benefit we advise that you take advantage of all three sessions.

All Healthplex members will receive a 60-minute, complimentary, one-on-one consultation and fitness assessment with one of our degreed personal trainers. In this consultation session, you and a personal trainer will discuss your health history and your health and fitness goals. The personal trainer will help you set realistic and attainable goals for yourself. Our trainers will also provide you with ideas and a plan to help you reach your goals. This consultation will also help guide you in the right direction on how you can utilize everything Healthplex has to offer to benefit you best.
The fitness assessment portion will establish your baseline data of your fitness level. This part of the session includes measurements of cardiovascular health, heart rate, blood pressure, target heart rate, body composition, body measurements, flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. In the fitness assessment our personal trainers will review your results with you and help identify your strengths and weaknesses. Based on your health history and fitness assessment results the personal trainer will provide ideas on how to best improve your health and fitness level.
It is recommended that Healthplex members participate in a fitness assessment every six months to track their progress and fitness levels.

All Community Healthplex members have the opportunity to participate in a complimentary equipment orientation with a member of the fitness staff. In this session you will learn the basics of starting an exercise program and how to use the strength training and cardiovascular equipment. This appointment will inform you about what muscles the machine uses and how the machine works. The fitness staff member will also go over proper form while using the machine and help you find a good starting lifting weight. This is the first of your complimentary sessions. Healthplex members can also receive a complimentary, 30-minute, one-on-one session session with one of our degreed personal trainers. Based on your health history, fitness assessment, and goals the personal trainer will design a session specifically for you to help you receive the most out of your workout. The personal trainer will take you through a workout designed to help you reach your goals. Your one-on-one session will be scheduled after you complete your fitness assessment and consultation or by calling the Fitness Desk at 317-920-7419.
It is the policy of Community Healthplex to have a completed PAR-Q on file and in some cases to obtain a medical clearance when necessary from each member’s primary care physician before beginning any fitness assessment.
