"The BEST resource this club has is it’s people. Mark greeted me at the front desk; told me of a special Pilates class tonight and gave me a big smile, as usual. I come here even when I’m tempted to blow off my workout because because it’s like “Cheer’s” (everybody knows your name). From Marva and Barb to Eujanda and Amanda, Richard, Jerry, Melissa, Andrea, Jane, Nat, Shane, Jerry, Shawn and Kim. Everybody’s smiles keep me coming back!"

"Before I started Women on Weights, I was a wimpy 60 grandmother with osteoporosis and arthritis who had never weight trained. After carrying my granddaughter up a flight of stairs left me exhausted, I joined Healthplex and started to weight train. In six months, I have grown stronger, more flexible, have more endurance, more energy, and lost a dress size without changing my diet. WOW offers a comfortable, “women-only” class led by trainers who individualize all exercises to each woman’s strength and abilities. The exercises are constantly changed so you never get bored. You get copies of each class routine so that you can do them on your own. Class times are conveniently spread throughout the week to fit anyone’s schedule. There are even free aerobic/stretching classes to supplement your fitness routine! WOW is a great deal! Join now! Remember, if I can do it anyone can!"

"Previously having been an athlete and having worked out routinely my whole life, I never felt compelled to use a fitness trainer. I was always puzzled however, that for as much as I worked out my body never noticeably responded. I always considered myself fit, but did not see measurable changes in my appearance. I was given an opportunity to use a personal trainer that gave me a more holistic approach to my fitness goals. After six months, I found for the first time a noticeable difference in my appearance – adding inches to my arms and reducing my waist. I also felt that I was using the gym experience much more efficiently – not necessarily working out more but getting more out of the time that I spent in the facility. After 12 months, there was clearly a noticeable difference in my physique. The trainer kept changing my routine just enough to keep my body from plateauing. The slight changes also kept me learning new exercises and kept me mentally motivated. The value proposition of using a trainer is very high. Results, Efficiency, and motivation are all key aspects that a trainer provides. This is probably especially true for those of us who have grown up in gyms and athletic fields. We know how to use the equipment but not necessarily how to link the equipment properly to our entire fitness needs to deliver results. The cost of the trainer is shadowed compared to the benefits I now receive in my overall fitness plan."

"I started personal training with Amber Cullison in July 2008. With her guidance and support, I lost 55 lbs (so far) 29 inches and went down 4 sizes. Amber excels as a personal fitness trainer because she tailors workouts to meet the client’s specific needs. She is particularly good at brainstorming ways to get over diet and exercise hurdles; in fact, I lost 5 pounds over the holidays. I am currently participating in ‘Body by Design’ which has helped me further progress in my weight loss goals. As a former couch potato, I now look forward to daily exercise thanks to Amber."
