Our commitment to the community is evident through the partnerships we have in place. Supporting local organizations through charitable giving and partnerships that promote healthy living are one way Community Health Network activates our mission. Following are examples of relationships Community has in place.
American Heart Walk—As a major sponsor of the American Heart Walk each September, Community Health Network consistently has one of the largest teams in the race and is among the leading organizations raising funds to help the American Heart Association fight heart disease and stroke through this event.
Black Expo Minority Health Fair—Community Health Network, in partnership with the Indiana State Department of Health and Mid America Clinical Laboratories, sponsors the “One Stop, One Stick” health screenings for more than 1,000 attendees who visit the fair in July.
Indiana Fever—For five years, Community Health Network has teamed up with the Indiana Fever throughout their summer season to promote the importance of routine breast screenings and to share steps women can take to improve their heart health.
Indiana State Fair—Community donated automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to the Indiana State Fair, making this lifesaving equipment available for summer fairgoers, as well as for attendees other fairground events throughout the year.
Indianapolis Indians—Baseball fans visiting Victory Field each summer for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game are reminded to encourage the women in their lives to have routine breast screenings, and have a chance to participate in a silent auction benefiting breast care.
Indianapolis Zoo—Community Health Network also encourages an active lifestyle among young families who visit the Indianapolis Zoo throughout the year, by sponsoring the children’s playground at the zoo. Community also supports the zoo’s Indianapolis Prize Gala.
Indy Eleven—Community Health Network Sports Medicine is the official sports medicine provider of the Indy Eleven professional soccer team. Eleven’s inaugural season began in 2014 with Community Sports Medicine athletic trainers and team physicians providing coverage at games and practice throughout the season. Team members and staff work out at Community Healthplex, keeping them at the top of their game.
Indy Fuel—Community Health Network joined forces with the Indy Fuel hockey team starting with their inaugural season to promote the importance of sports medicine and wellness. Community Sports Medicine athletic trainers and a team physician are actively involved at each game, and the team works out at the Community Healthplex facility.
Komen for the Cure—By sponsoring the annual “Pink Parade” at the central Indiana race each April, Community helps more than 2,500 breast cancer survivors celebrate their victories and remember those who have lost their battle with breast cancer.
United Way Family Volunteer Month—Community Health Network is the proud sponsor of United Way’s Family Volunteer Month, which runs from mid-November through mid-December, bringing individuals and families together to provide personal service and support to United Way agencies during the holiday season.
